Well, I'm already falling behind with my blogging and I've only written ONE entry! Good grief. Part of my excuse (and that's all it really is, an excuse), is that I'm helping my students get set up and going with their website creations and blogs. Once we all get our sites built, maintaining them will be a breeze! February 3, 2017Goals can be tricky ... sometimes they are simply a bucket list of tasks that sound interesting, but not very realistic. Having realistic goals, that takes some thought and the need to be honest with yourself ... can I really do what I set for myself? Here goes nothing: Realistic Goal 1: Get healthy. I know, how boring ... but if I don't do something, then I won't be around to accomplish any other goals that I might have. Plus, I know I can do it ... I just need to make the decision and stick with it. (wish me luck). Realistic Goal 2: See the good ole USA. There are lots of corners of the Unites States that I have never been and I would love to see it all ... and when I say "see it all," I mean DRIVING my own RV. Road Trip, baby!! Realistic Goal 3: Learn how to play the guitar. I don't know if I have the time for a class, but I'm pretty sure that I can teach myself using YouTube videos. Singing along while I strum a song ... not so sure about that. Ha ha ha :-) January 27, 2017I am inspired by so many people and for many different reasons. I don't think these people know that they inspire me, but if they stumble upon this blog ... they'll know soon enough.
My parents inspire me to always keep family and fun at the center of my marriage. They've been married for more than 43 years, so I'd say they know a thing or two about what makes a marriage last. My husband, Chris, inspires me to have patience and understanding for others. He is my calming force. My children, Cameron & Carlie, inspire me to be the best mom I can be. They keep me on my toes ... from discipline and order, to laughs and fun ... they are truly the best gifts in my life. My brother and sister inspire me to be independent, creative, and have a strong voice in my beliefs. My life-long friends (Rachel, Katie, Heather, Meagan) inspire me to always keep in touch. Even though we don't see each other everyday, we are always THERE for whatever is needed - a hug, a shoulder to cry on, an ear to vent, a laugh, advice, support, and of course unconditional LOVE. I wouldn't choose any other group to go through life with. My colleagues (FM9ELA, FM9 Friends) inspire me to be THE BEST teacher. I am so very thankful that I chose to come to FM9 to take on high school classes. There truly is no better place to work.
